- Botanical Name: Cordyline fruticosa 'Calypso Queen'
- Common Name(s): Calypso Queen,
- Description: Bring a pop of color to your plant collection! These deep purple and pink Cordylines are simple to take care of and can grow to be quite big. Cordylines are in the dracaena family, so they like medium to bright indirect light - avoid direct sunlight as it can burn their leaves. They like their soil moist (but not soggy) at all times, but can tolerate a bit of drought if you're not the most attentive plant parent. Water less in the winter. They prefer distilled or rain water, or tap water that has been left out overnight - chemicals in fresh tap water can harm their leaves and root systems.
Every plant ships as a young, well-rooted starter grown by our US nursery partners. Size and shape vary naturally, and photos show a mature example of the variety.
On arrival: unbox right away, rest the plant out of direct sun for a day or two, then water lightly. A few wilted or yellowed leaves after transit are normal.
Planting: pot up in a well-draining mix, or plant outdoors once frost risk has passed in your USDA zone. Each listing states zone, light and watering.
Safety: many ornamental plants are toxic if eaten. Keep them away from young children and pets unless the listing says the plant is edible.
Shipping
We ship to the 48 contiguous US states only - not Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO Boxes or internationally.
Orders ship from our US grower partners within 1 to 3 business days, with tracking by email within 48 hours, and most arrive 2 to 6 business days later.
