- Botanical Name: Sansevieria Trifasciata
- Common Names: Snake plant, Laurentii, Mother-in-law's tongue
- Description: This evergreen perennial native to tropical West Africa and Nigeria, is a great addition to any office or household as a natural air purifier. Snake plants have strong and sturdy, sword shaped leaves which are drought tolerant and retains the plants water. This plant can be easily propagated by leaf cuttings so you can multiply your family of snake plants or give them away as a gift. This particular variety has a yellow outline along with a flat deep green towards the middle of each stalk
Every plant ships as a young, well-rooted starter grown by our US nursery partners. Size and shape vary naturally, and photos show a mature example of the variety.
On arrival: unbox right away, rest the plant out of direct sun for a day or two, then water lightly. A few wilted or yellowed leaves after transit are normal.
Planting: pot up in a well-draining mix, or plant outdoors once frost risk has passed in your USDA zone. Each listing states zone, light and watering.
Safety: many ornamental plants are toxic if eaten. Keep them away from young children and pets unless the listing says the plant is edible.
